Included in the revision is improved fault detection that disables and then safely shuts down the hydraulic valve in the event of broken, shorted or a poor connection in the wire harness. The new software will also save any faults in memory to assist in diagnosing hardware problems. To upgrade to the new software, call the factory and request the free software upgrade chip that simply plugs into the DFA-01 circuit board. For more information click here.

Feb. 2003 Updated "L" Series Handle
We started shipping the new updated "L" Series control grip in Jan/03. When Sure Grip Controls introduced the "L" Series grips back in 1997, we had no idea it would become one of the most versatile and popular control grips in the forestry and heavy equipment industry. We estimate there are more than 20,000 "L"Series control grips in use today on equipment around the world. Over the last 12 months, we have been carefully redesigning the "L" grip in order to incorporate industry feedback and to create a fresh new look with improved functionality. The new design is backwards compatible with the existing "L" series components except for the case halves and triggers.
Improvements:
+ Changes to the interior cavity that allow us to install our new "Proportional Modules" in more faceplate and trigger locations
+ Redesigned trigger for more ergonomic operation
+ An improved exterior look with softer contours that blend with the trend in new cab designs
+ A redesigned 10 button Keypad that has greatly improved the look and feel of this popular accessory
As of Jan/03, all orders for "L" Series grips will be shipped with the new design unless otherwise specified. We will also be offering an update kit that includes the left and right case halves and new triggers should you want to update your existing "L" grips to the new look.
